Hotel Blueberry Hill Katsuura

I stay here through work every few months and it is a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Although the buildings may be slightly dated, they are very big rooms (certainly much bigger than the apartment I live in!) , comfortable furniture and bed, big bathtub (although no communal bath or hot springs available). The service is also very good and I particularly enjoy the spacious and delicious restaurant. I’ve only been there on buffet days (usually during weekends and peak periods) but the selection is great. Can’t wait to go again soon!

This is a quaint and comfortable resort of sorts. We got a nice little room in one of the cottages that had a nice seating area and some comfortable beds. The restaurant was okay, nothing really to write home about. The grounds are nice although we were there in the early spring so it was still cold outside. One real complaint was we were on the bottom floor and the people upstairs were a little noisy. I do suggest if you book on the lower floor of the cottages, take some earplugs with you if you plan on getting to sleep early.

Family Favourite! This place is a little far and you will need a car to get here. However, I love the drive and this place is worth it. The rooms are big and has a western feel. It does feel a little older, but not too old to the point where you feel like they need to s,upgrade their stuff. FYI they have wifi in the rooms. Another good thing is that you can borrow things for free, so plenty of activities you can do. I love playing tennis, table tennis, badminton, soccer balls etc. Also they have bikes that you can ride on site, but you cannot take it out off there property. Also they have shuttle busses to take you around the property. When I go to eat and back to my room, I usually take the bus back. The food is great. Weekends they have a buffet and during the weekdays they have a course. The course has higher quality food and a lot of it, too. The kids menu has so much I have to eat the kids' plate as well: that's a win! Breakfast is great too! The eggs are great and look forward to it again! Also, they have a little area where you can see their rabbits and also have this little exercise area. This place is awesome, and I come here regularly.
